AI
Bootcamp

One day. Real discovery. A roadmap you built together.

AI Bootcamp brings functions and departments together for a full day of discovery, assessment, and action. Not lectures. Not slide decks. Real conversations about where your team is, what's in the way, and what your first high-impact win could be.

Format: Full-Day In-Person Workshop
Who: Cross-Functional Teams · Department Leaders · AI Champions
Output: Readiness Map · Opportunity Backlog · Draft Roadmap

What It Is

Discovery and
action, together.

AI Bootcamp isn't training in the traditional sense. It's a facilitated work session where cross-functional teams discover their AI readiness, surface real opportunities, and leave with a concrete next step.

01

Cross-Functional Cohorts

Teams mix across departments and functions — so members hear how other areas of Haworth are thinking about AI. Shared perspective accelerates learning and surfaces opportunities that siloed thinking misses.

02

Department Breakouts

Cross-functional time gives way to focused department sessions. Each team maps their current workflows, identifies where AI could reduce effort or improve outcomes, and assess where they are in the data and AI readiness journey.

03

One High-Impact Win

Every department prioritizes a single low-effort, high-impact opportunity — not a wishlist. The constraint is intentional. One clear win, pursued with focus, builds momentum and proves the value of AI faster than a sprawling initiative ever could.

04

A Roadmap Built as a Team

The day ends with each department holding a draft roadmap they built themselves — grounded in their actual work, their actual data, and their actual readiness. The AI Transformation team supports; the team owns it.

What It's Not

Not a
lecture.

🚫
Not a Copilot Training
That's AI University (101/201/301). Bootcamp is about discovery and strategy — not learning how to use a specific tool. You don't need to know how to prompt before you attend.
🚫
Not a Technology Presentation
There are no vendor demos, no roadmap slides, no AI hype. Bootcamp starts with your work — your processes, your frustrations, your opportunities — and builds from there.
🚫
Not Optional for Leaders
Department leaders and their key team members are the audience. Bootcamp only works when the people who own the work are in the room making the decisions.
🚫
Not the End of the Conversation
Bootcamp is the beginning. The readiness assessment, the opportunity backlog, and the draft roadmap feed directly into Project SPARK discovery and the broader AI transformation journey.

The Day

A structured day
with room to breathe.

Every Bootcamp follows the same arc — open together, work in departments, come back with a shared direction. The facilitation is tight. The conversations are real.

Welcome & AI Context Setting
Why AI transformation matters for Haworth. Where we are. Where we're going. Isadora Godley and the AI Transformation team set the stage — not with a lecture, but with a conversation about what's already happening and what's possible.
9:30
Cross-Functional · Interactive
AI in the Wild — Seeing What's Possible
Live demonstrations of AI solving real Haworth-like problems. Teams see how similar organizations have used automation and AI to reclaim time and reduce risk — grounding the day in concrete possibility rather than abstract potential.
10:30
Department Breakout
Where Are We? — Readiness Assessment
Each department completes a structured readiness assessment covering data maturity, toolset, workflow patterns, team readiness, and risk exposure. Facilitators guide the conversation. The assessment surfaces where each team is in their AI journey — and where the biggest gaps are. This is the honest conversation most teams haven't had yet.
12:00
Break · Informal
Lunch & Cross-Pollination
Informal lunch across departments. Some of the best ideas in Bootcamp history have come from a conversation between a Finance analyst and an HR operations lead over lunch. We create the conditions — members create the connections.
1:00
Department Breakout
Opportunity Mapping — What Could We Automate?
Teams map their most time-consuming, repetitive, or error-prone processes. Facilitators guide each department through identifying patterns: recurring reports, manual data bridges, file build-and-upload cycles, single-owner risk, and notification workflows. The raw backlog gets built here.
2:30
Department Breakout · Decision Point
Prioritization — Choosing the One Win
Each department scores their opportunities against impact, feasibility, and data readiness — then selects one. One. The discipline of choosing a single high-impact, low-effort win is what separates Bootcamp from a brainstorm. This is where the roadmap begins to take shape.
3:30
Cross-Functional · Share Out
Gallery Walk — Departments Share Their Win
Each department presents their chosen opportunity, their readiness assessment result, and their first roadmap step. Cross-functional visibility creates accountability and sparks conversation across teams who may be working on similar problems from different angles.

Next Steps & Commitments
Every team leaves with a named opportunity, a named owner, and a named next step. The AI Transformation team follows up within two weeks to support prioritized opportunities through Project SPARK discovery and build.

What Teams Walk Away With

Six things every
team takes home.

Bootcamp isn't an event you attend and forget. Every team leaves with tangible outputs they own.

📊
Output 01
Data & AI Readiness Score
A clear picture of where your department is across data maturity, toolset, workflow patterns, team readiness, and risk — so you know exactly what's enabling you and what's in the way.
🗺️
Output 02
Opportunity Backlog
A documented list of your department's automation and AI opportunities — scored, ranked, and ready to hand to Project SPARK for discovery and prioritization.
🎯
Output 03
One Prioritized Win
A single high-impact, low-effort opportunity your team selected — with an owner and a defined next step. The clarity of one beats the chaos of ten every time.
🛣️
Output 04

A phased roadmap built by your team — not handed down from IT. Grounded in your actual readiness, your actual constraints, and your actual opportunities.
🤝
Output 05
Cross-Functional Connections
Relationships with peers in other departments who are on the same journey. The informal networks built in Bootcamp accelerate adoption across the organization long after the day ends.
🔗
Output 06
SPARK Pipeline Entry
Departments who complete Bootcamp move to the front of the SPARK discovery queue. Your prioritized win gets a dedicated discovery session within two weeks.
"
We're not experimenting anymore. We're reshaping our business with it. Bootcamp is where that shift starts — the moment a team stops asking 'could AI help us?' and starts asking 'which problem do we fix first?'

How to Participate

Three ways to
get your team in.

Bootcamp runs in waves throughout the year. Here's how to get your department on the schedule.

📅
Option 01
Join the Next Wave
Bootcamp runs quarterly with open enrollment for cross-functional cohorts. Contact the AI Transformation team to reserve seats for your department in the upcoming session. Spots fill quickly — priority goes to departments with named AI Champions.
🏢
Option 02
Request a Department-Only Session
Larger departments or teams with a specific focus area can request a dedicated Bootcamp. The AI Transformation team customizes the facilitation to your function's workflows, data environment, and readiness level. Minimum 8 participants.
Option 03
Become a Bootcamp Facilitator
AI Champions who have completed Bootcamp can train as co-facilitators — helping run sessions for other departments and building lasting peer-to-peer enablement capacity across the organization. Talk to the AI Transformation team about the facilitator track.

Ready to bring your team?

One day.
Real momentum.

Every department that has gone through Bootcamp left with more clarity than they came in with. That's the point.
